Storm Coordination Message #2 – Thursday Evening 3/6/25-Friday Evening 3/7/25 – Strong to Damaging Wind Potential

..Overnight rainfall and strong wind gusts end in the region this morning. A second and more robust round of strong to damaging wind gusts expected Thursday Evening through Friday Evening..
..A High Wind Warning is now in effect from 7 PM Thursday Evening to 7 PM Friday Evening for for sustained winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH for Western Franklin, Western Hampshire, Western Hampden, Worcester and Northern Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 7 PM Thursday Evening through 7 PM Friday Evening for the remainder of the NWS Norton Coverage Area for sustained winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. These winds will cause isolated to scattered pockets of tree, wire damage and power outages..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for final rain gauge reports from overnight rainfall and any wind damage and measured wind gusts 40 MPH or greater from the overnight period and for the upcoming Thursday Evening to Friday Evening period. This will likely be the last coordination message unless a significant update to the situation occurs and time allows for an update.
