Severe Weather Coordination Message #1 – Sunday July 7th, 2013 Flash Flood/Severe Weather Potential

Hello to all..

..Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and Isolated Strong to Severe Thunderstorms are possible across Southern New England. Coverage is expected to be fairly isolated at present but a thunderstorm with heavy rainfall or isolated strong to severe thunderstorm could pop up almost anywhere in the NWS Taunton coverage area. Urban and poor drainage and flash flooding is the main threat but isolated strong to damaging winds are also possible in any thunderstorm that can reach strong to severe criteria..
..SKYWARN Activation with Ops at NWS Taunton will commence by 2 PM to monitor the situation. This will be the only coordination message on today’s severe weather/flash flood potential. Below is the NWS Taunton Hazardous Weather Outlook and SPC Day-1 Convective Outlook..
