..Strong Wind Gusts expected Thursday Evening into Friday Afternoon across much of Southern New England. Another storm system could bring plowable snow and possibly an extended period of wintry mix/icing to much of interior Southern New England this weekend..
..A Wind Advisory is in effect from 7 PM Thursday Evening through 4 PM Friday Afternoon for Northern Connecticut, Northwest Providence County Rode Island, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk Counties of Massachusetts for west winds 15-30 MPH with gusts of 40-50 MPH and isolated higher wind gusts to 55 MPH in the higher terrain. Areas outside the Wind Advisory could see wind gusts 40-45 MPH with isolated higher gusts. These winds will cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..

..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for measured wind gusts 40 MPH or greater and wind damage reports tonight through Friday Afternoon. SKYWARN Self-Activation with Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets are likely this weekend for the plowable snowfall and potentially extended period of wintry mix in much of Southern New England this weekend. Another coordination message will be posted on Friday on the weekend winter storm potential.
