Post Storm Coordination Message #1 – Thursday 7/10/25 Flash Flood Event

Hello to all…

..Heavy Rainfall training over the same area brought a widespread swath of 3-7″ of rainfall across a strip of Norfolk and Northern Plymouth County Massachusetts Thursday Morning into early afternoon. This caused significant flooding including the shutdown of Interstate-93 in the Milton/Quincy/Braintree area. Reliable spotter reports from Amateur Radio, non-Amateur Radio SKYWARN Spotters including some embedded in emergency management helped to detail the flooding and rain gauge reports..
..Additional reports, pictures and videos on flooding or rain gauge totals can be sent as a reply to this email, via our WX1BOX Facebook, X and Bluesky feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated. Below is the WX1BOX Amateur Radio/non-Amateur Radio spotter log, Local Storm Report and last issued Public Information Statement on this event. This message maybe updated once more this weekend based on any new data, pictures received..
