Storm Coordination Message #2 – Sunday 12/14/25 – Accumulating Snow Event

Hello to all…

..Storm system to bring Accumulating Snow to Southeast New England late Saturday Night through Sunday Evening – 1-2″ of snow has fallen over portions of Rhode Island and Southeast Coastal Massachusetts as of 7 AM Sunday Morning..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 10 PM Saturday Evening until 7 PM Sunday Evening for Kent, Bristol, Washington and Newport Counties of Rhode Island and South Coastal Massachusetts including Cape Cod and the Islands for 2-4″ of snow. Areas closest to the advisory could see 1-2″ of snow through Northern RI and interior Southeast Massachusetts with a coating-1″ elsewhere in Southern New England..
..A slight deviation to the north could result in slightly higher snowfall amounts across the advisory area and points north. A slight deviation to the south could result in less snow in the region..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation with monitoring of Amateur Radio repeaters in Southeast New England for snowfall reports will occur Sunday Morning through Sunday Afternoon. Another update to this coordination message may occur by 11 PM Saturday Evening if we determine specific times for Amateur Radio nets or any significant change to the storm forecast.
