Storm Coordination Message #2 – Friday 12/19/25-Early Saturday AM 12/20/25 Strong to Damaging Wind Potential

..Strong storm system to bring a brief period of heavy rainfall with the potential for strong to Damaging Wind Gusts late Friday Morning to Friday Afternoon with strong to damaging wind potential continuing to early Saturday Morning..
..A High Wind Warning is now in effect from 6 AM Friday Morning through 3 PM Friday Afternoon Eastern Essex, Suffolk, Eastern Norfolk, Eastern Plymouth, Southern Plymouth Counties of Massachusetts, Eastern Kent, Bristol, Washington counties of Rhode Island, Cape Cod and the Islands for sustained winds of 20-35 MPH with gusts of 60 MPH and isolated higher wind gusts to 65 MPH and possibly higher possible..
..A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 4 AM Friday to 1 AM Saturday for the rest of the NWS Norton MA Coverage Area for sustained winds 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50-55 MPH and isolated higher gusts to 60 MPH possible in higher terrain and coastal locations.
..These wind gusts in the High Wind Warning and Wind Advisory areas could cause scattered pockets of tree and wire damage with scattered power outages..
..Rain Gauge totals between 0.75-1.5″ with isolated higher amounts are possible across Southern New England..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for measured wind gusts 40 MPH or greater, wind damage reports and rain gauge totals. Pictures and videos of wind damage and other storm related issues can be sent as a reply to this email, via our WX1BOX Facebook/X feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated..
..This will likely be the last coordination message unless a significant update to the situation occurs and/or there are updates to the Amateur Radio Net schedule and time allows for an update. Amateur Radio Net Schedule:

146.940-Mount Tom Repeater – Starting at 9 AM and every 2 hours thereafter through late PM
146.970-Paxton Repeater – Starting at 930 AM and every 2 hours thereafter through late PM
147.000-Dartmouth and 146.955-Barnstable Repeaters will be monitored off and on through at least early PM
NB1RI Repeater System and 146.760-Sciture RI repeaters will be monitored off and on through at least early PM
The *NEW-ENG3* Echolink conference node: 9123/IRLP 9123 Reflector system will be monitored through at least early PM
