Storm Coordination Message #2 – Friday Evening 12/26/25-Saturday AM 12/27/25 Accumulating Snow Event

Hello to all…
..Accumulating snow expected across portions of Southern New England Friday Evening into early Saturday Morning. Heaviest amounts over Connecticut, portions of Western Massachusetts and West-Central Rhode Island but now expanding eastward across Southeast Massachusetts and all the rest of Rhode Island..
..A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect from 7 PM Friday Evening to 10 AM Saturday Morning for Western Hampden County Massachusetts and Hartford County Connecticut for 5-8″ of snow with isolated higher amounts possible..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect 7 PM Friday Evening to 10 AM Saturday Morning for Tolland, Windham Counties of Connecticut, Franklin, Hampshire, Eastern Hampden, Worcester, Eastern Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth Counties of Massachusetts, and all of Rhode Island including Block Island for 2-6″ of snow with isolated higher amounts particularly in the western and southwestern portions of the advisory area..
..A period of snowfall rates of 1-3″ per hour is possible for a couple hours in a band across the Winter Weather Advisory area and will be monitored closely..
..Areas outside of the Winter Weather Advisory area will receive a coating to 2″ of snow with isolated higher amounts of up to 3″..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation with Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets will commence during the evening hours between 9 PM-12 AM Friday Evening with wrap-up nets early Saturday Morning for final snowfall totals in the Winter Weather Advisory area. The 146.790-Vernon CT repeater will have nets at 9 and 1030 PM followed by 930 AM Saturday, the 146.940-Mount Tom Repeater will have nets hourly from 9 PM-12 AM and a final net on 800 AM Saturday. Rhode Island SKYWARN Nets will also be active 9 PM-12 AM Friday Evening and 800 AM Saturday AM on the NB1RI Repeater system/146.76-Scituate Repeater. The *NEW-ENG3* Echolink conference 9123/IRLP 9123 system will be monitored off and on Friday Evening and Saturday AM.
