Wind Coordination Message #1 – Saturday 3/13/26 Strong Wind Potential/Monday 3/16/26 Potential Strong Storm System

..Strong Wind Gusts for portions of Southern New England late Saturday AM into Saturday Evening. Stronger storm system Monday AM through late Monday Night will have the potential for heavy rainfall of 1-2″ with isolated amounts to 3″, minor river/stream/urban flooding potential and strong to damaging wind gusts. Details on the Monday system will be posted Saturday Evening or Sunday AM..
..A Wind Advisory is in effect from 10 AM Saturday Morning to 7 PM Saturday Evening for Western Franklin, Western Hampshire, Western Hampden and Northern Worcester Counties of Massachusetts for sustained winds for sustained winds 15-25 MPH with wind gusts 45-50 MPH. Areas outside of the Wind Advisory could see wind gusts of around 40 MPH. These winds could cause isolated pockets of tree, wire damage and power outages..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor strong wind potential for Saturday. . Pictures/videos of the storm can be sent as a reply to this message via our WX1BOX Facebook/X/Bluesky feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated. This will be the only coordination message on the Saturday wind potential unless a significant update to the situation occurs and time allows for an update. Again, updates on Monday’s potential storm system will occur Saturday Evening or Sunday AM.
