Over the course of Saturday, wind gusts in the 50-58 MPH range and isolated tree and wire damage have been reported. Pockets of coastal flooding were reported particularly over portions of Southeast Coastal Massachusetts from Scituate through Plymouth. Conditions will worsen as we get towards Sunday Morning as the wind speeds increase and another round of precipitation and another round of coastal flooding expected for the Sunday Morning high tide. The headlines of this coordination message depict the threats well. Below is the link to the latest Local Storm Report:

There is now an uncertain risk for the heavy rainfall that will start overnight to mix with and change to a wet snow especially in parts of Eastern and Central Massachusetts north and west of Boston. Factors regarding the snowfall include:

1.) Where does a heavy band of precipitation develop as the storm intensifies and does that allow for cooling for snow and for the snow to accumulate.
2.) The ground temperatures for any snow to accumulate.
3.) Air temperatures and any cooling caused by the heavy precipitation.
4.) Wind direction and the ability for cold air to rush in and overlap with the heavy band of precipitation.

There have been reports this evening of wet snow flakes mixing in with the rain. This may be an indicator of the potential for colder air to lock in with a heavier band of precipitation but there remains high uncertainties in this scenario and this will be monitored closely when Amateur Radio Ops resume at NWS Taunton at 5 AM Sunday Morning.

SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor conditions overnight with Ops at NWS Taunton restarting at 5 AM Sunday Morning lasting through Sunday Afternoon for the storm potential on Sunday. This will be the last complete coordination message. Below is the NWS Taunton High Wind Warning/Wind Advisory Statement, Coastal Flood Watch Statement and Hazardous Weather Outlook:
