Post Severe Weather Coordination Message #3 – FINAL – Thursday 7/3/25 Severe Weather Event

Hello to all…

..Significant severe thunderstorms caused large hail covering the ground that had to be shoveled and widespread pockets of tree and power line damage with even some direct structural damage across Connecticut, Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts. At the height of the severe weather, we have learned that Rhode Island had over 65,000 without power and with the over 50,000 that were without power in Massachusetts, the maximum power outages at the height of severe weather across Massachusetts and Rhode Island was over 115,000 customers. Additional significant power outages occurred in portions of Connecticut..
..We have posted a Facebook Photo Album of photos from this significant severe weather event and the link is provided below. If time allows will post more photos to this photo album as time permits and will continue to take reports, pictures and videos and add to the historical record for this event. Pictures and videos of storm damage, hail, and flooding can be sent as a reply to this email, via our WX1BOX Facebook, X and Bluesky feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated.
