..Accumulating snow expected in Southern New England late Tuesday Afternoon into early Wednesday Morning. Some light icing also expected in the Southwest portion of New England..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 6 PM Tuesday Evening through 6 AM Wednesday Morning for Franklin, Northern Worcester, Middlesex and Essex Counties of Massachusetts for 2-4″ of snow with isolated higher amounts possible resulting in slippery road conditions..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 6 PM Tuesday Evening through 6 AM Wednesday Morning for Western Hampden County Massachusetts and Hartford County Connecticut for a light glaze of ice and up to 1″ of snow..
..Areas outside of the Winter Weather Advisory will see a coating to 2″ of snow with Southeast Coastal New England potentially seeing a mix or change to plain rain..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for snowfall amounts and icy conditions/changeover precip type reports. Formal Amateur Radio Nets will not occur but areas of the Winter Weather Advisory area of North-Central and Northeast Massachusetts may have area repeaters checked for snowfall amounts tonight and again early Wednesday AM. Pictures/videos of the storm can be sent as a reply to this message via our WX1BOX Facebook/X/Bluesky feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated. This will likely be the only coordination message for this event unless a significant change to the situation occurs and time allows for an update.
