The Wind Chill Warning and Advisory headlines cover the strong wind threat as well with wind gusts in the 40-50 MPH range with isolated higher gusts likely. These winds may cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and isolated power outages. All concerned should review and follow cold weather safety rules as these winds and the extreme cold take hold over the region this weekend.

SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the possibility of snow over the Cape and Islands Friday Night into early Saturday Morning and for strong winds during the day Saturday into early Sunday Morning. Barring any changes to warnings and advisories, this will be the last coordination message for extreme cold and strong wind conditions for the entire region and possibly another light snow event for portions of Cape Cod for Saturday Night into early Sunday Morning.
