Storm Coordination Message #1 – Tuesday 12/23/25 Light Snow Event
Hello to all…
..Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all Amateur Radio and non-Amateur Radio SKYWARN Spotters..
..A light snow event is expected Tuesday 12/23/25 which could cause some slippery roads and slower travel. Use caution and allow extra time to reach your travel destination. A general 1-3″ snowfall with isolated higher amounts of up to 4″ is likely across interior Southern New England north and west of I-95. The higher amounts will be over higher terrain interior locations with coastal locations likely going from snow to a mix to rain during this event with little snow accumulation at the coast..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for snowfall reports during this light snow event. This will likely be the only coordination message unless a significant change to the situation occurs and time allows for an update. Below is the NWS Boston/Norton Area Forecast Discussion, Enhanced Hazardous Weather Outlook and NWS Boston/Norton Snowfall Map/Key Message graphics..
