..Accumulating snow expected across portions of Southern New England with the highest amounts across Southeast coastal Massachusetts late New Year’s Eve Night into New Year’s Day Morning. Also, have a link to the storm summary on the late Sunday Night 12/28/25-Tuesday 12/30/25 Icing, Rainfall, Strong to Damaging Wind Event..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 7 PM Wednesday Evening to 1 PM Thursday Afternoon for Cape Cod and the Islands for 2-4″ of snow. Areas of Southeast coastal Massachusetts could see similar amounts of snow from the Fall River-New Bedford area to the Plymouth MA area. Areas outside of the Winter Weather Advisory away from Southeast Coastal Massachusetts will see a coating to 2″ of snow..
..A short period of snowfall rates up to 1″ per hour is possible overnight in and close to the Winter Weather Advisory area..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for snowfall reports including monitoring of the Thursday Morning Cape & Islands Weather Net. Pictures/videos of the storm can be sent as a reply to this message via our WX1BOX Facebook/X/Bluesky feeds or to the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated. This will be the only coordination message on this storm event unless a significant update to the situation occurs and time allows for an update..
