Wind Coordination Message #1 – Friday 12/16/11 Strong Winds on Cape Cod Event

Hello to all..

..Strong Winds to Affect Cape Cod and the Islands Friday Morning into the early afternoon. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 6 AM to 2 PM Friday for Cape Cod and the Islands for sustained winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH possible. The Strong winds may cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage in the advisory area. No Ops at NWS Taunton anticipated but SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the winds over the advisory area.
