..Strong storm system will bring Heavy Rainfall, the potential for urban and poor drainage flooding to possibly some small river and stream flooding including ice jam flooding, Strong to Damaging Winds in Southeast Coastal New England and on the back-end of the storm a possible flash freeze and icing situation..
..A Flood Watch is in effect from Friday Morning through Saturday Afternoon for the entire NWS Taunton Coverage Area for 2-4″ of rain and that potential for urban and poor drainage flooding to possibly some small river and stream flooding including ice jam flooding. The expected heavy rainfall may also have embedded thunderstorms bringing some areas of higher rainfall amounts..
..A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 5 PM This Friday Afternoon through 9 AM Saturday Morning for sustained winds of 15-30 MPH and wind gusts to 50 MPH with isolated higher gusts possible for Plymouth, Southern Bristol Counties of Massachusetts and Cape Cod and the Islands. These winds may cause isolated pockets of tree and power line damage and isolated power outages..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 5 AM-4 PM for Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties, 9 AM-4 PM for Northern Connecticut, Northwest Providence County Rhode Island, Worcester and Northerm Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts and 11 AM-7 PM for Southeast Providence, Kent and Bristol Counties of Rhode Island and Essex, Central and Southeast Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, North-Central Bristol and North-Central Plymouth Counties of Massachusetts. This advisory is in effect for a flash freeze causing icy road conditions and a period of freezing rain possibly leading to light ice accretion on roadways, trees and power lines..
