Post Severe Weather Coordination Message #1 – Friday 9/8/23 Severe Weather Outbreak

Hello to all…

..Widespread pockets of damaging winds with some hail occurred with the hardest hit areas being Central and Northeast Massachusetts with more scattered pockets of wind damage and hail across Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Some flooding occurred as well in the urban and poor drainage locations and areas receiving persistent heavy rainfall. At the height of the severe weather, over 58,000 customers were without power in Massachusetts centered in Central and Northeast Massachusetts..
..Late reports and any pictures and videos of wind damage, flooding and hail from this severe weather outbreak can be sent as a reply to this email, via our WX1BOX Facebook and Twitter feeds and via the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit be given to the Amateur Radio/non-Amateur Radio spotter for the photo unless otherwise indicated..
..A more complete post severe weather coordination message will be posted later tonight or Sunday Morning and will include a Facebook Photo Album of storm photos collected including photos that we have received during the severe weather outbreak.
