Storm Coordination Message #1 – Saturday 12/28/24 Light Icing & Slippery Travel Potential

..We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday Season and wish all Amateur Radio and non-Amateur Radio SKYWARN Spotters a very happy new year..
..Light icing will cause slippery travel Saturday Morning into early afternoon across interior Southern New England north and west of I-95..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 4 AM Saturday Morning through 1 PM Saturday Afternoon for Northern Connecticut, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Worcester, Western Essex, Northern and Central Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts for a light glaze of ice resulting in slippery travel conditions..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for reports of icing and slippery road condition reports Saturday AM into early Saturday PM. This will be the only coordination message on this light icing event unless a significant upgrade to the situation occurs and time allows for an update.
