..Active Winter Weather Pattern over the next 1-2 weeks for Southern New England. Storm system for Thursday to bring accumulating snow before a wintry mix of precipitation in interior areas before ending. Coastal locations to see a snow to wintry mix to rain as the system departs..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 7 AM to 7 PM Thursday for the entire NWS Norton Coverage Area except for Cape Cod & the Islands for 1-4″ of snow and light glaze of ice resulting in slippery travel potentially for both the morning and evening commute. Coastal areas of the advisory could see a changeover to rain before ending. Cape Cod and the Islands could receive a coating to 2″ of snow before a changeover to a wintry mix and then rain as the storm system departs..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor for snowfall reports, icing reports and changeover in precipitation type for Thursday with Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets possible. A more complete coordination message will be posted by 11 AM Wednesday Morning.
