Hello to all…
..Another storm system will bring a wintry mix and slippery travel for the Thursday Morning commute particularly for interior Southern New England. Strong Wind Gusts up to 40 MPH will affect Southeast Coastal New England during the day Thursday with wind gusts of 45-50 MPH possible in Western and Central Massachusetts and potentially other parts of Southern New England Thursday Night into Friday Afternoon..
..A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10 PM Wednesday Night to 10 AM Thursday Morning for Northern Connecticut, Northwest Rhode Island, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Worcester and Northern Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts for 1-3″ of snow and 0.10″ of ice resulting in slippery travel for the Thursday AM commute. Areas outside of the Winter Weather Advisory could see a coating to 1″ of snow with a brief period of ice before changing to rain with little travel impact..
..Strong Wind Gusts of up to 40 MPH are possible in Southeast Coastal New England with stronger wind gusts of up to 40-50 MPH possible in Western and Central Massachusetts and potentially other parts of Southern New England Thursday Night into Friday Afternoon. A coordination message on the winds for Thursday Night into Friday Afternoon will likely be posted Thursday Afternoon..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the wintry mix potential for late tonight and Thursday AM. An Amateur Radio call-up net or two could be done Thursday AM as needed. This will be the last coordination message on the wintry mix potential as we move into operations mode unless a significant update to the situation occurs and time allows for an update.
