Wind Coordination Message #2 – Friday 12/16/11 Wind Event – Wind Advisory Expanded to Entire NWS Taunton CWA

Hello to all..

..Strong Winds will affect much of the NWS Taunton County Warning Area Friday Morning into early afternoon with the strongest winds this Friday Morning..
..A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 6 AM to 2 PM Friday for the entire NWS Taunton County Warning Area for sustained winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 45-50 MPH. The Strong winds may cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage in the advisory area. No Ops at NWS Taunton anticipated but SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the winds over the region this morning into early afternoon. This will be the only coordination message on this event unless another upgrade to the situation occurs. Below is the NWS Taunton Wind Advisory Statement and Hazardous Weather Outlook..
