Storm Coordination Message #1 – Friday Evening 12/20/24 to Saturday AM 12/21/24 Snow Storm

Hello to all…

..Ongoing snowfall will accumulate for several more hours across portions of Eastern Massachusetts and will wind down in Central Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the next couple of hours..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 4 AM Saturday for Essex, Suffolk, Southern Worcester, Central and Southeast Middlesex, Norfolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable Counties of Massachusetts, Providence, Kent, Bristol and Newport Counties of Rhode Island. The advisory is in effect for 2-3″ of snow across Rhode Island, Southern Bristol, Southern Plymouth and Barnstable Counties of Massachusetts and 3-5″ with isolated higher amounts in the rest of the Eastern Massachusetts advisory area..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation with Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets will monitor the snowfall across the region. Norfolk County SKYWARN will be holding a net at 9 PM on the 146.896-Walpole Repeater. Other frequencies maybe monitored informally this evening and again tomorrow morning for snowfall reports. Pictures and videos of the snowfall and any storm damage can be sent to pics@nsradio.org or via our WX1BOX Facebook and X feeds with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated.
