Storm Coordination Message #1 – Tuesday Night 1/28/14-Wednesday AM 1/29/14 Storm Event

Hello to all..

..Offshore storm will graze Cape Cod and the Islands and possibly South Coastal Massachusetts with accumulating snow. A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 7 PM Tuesday Night through 1 PM Wednesday for 2-4″ of snow on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard and 4-6″ of snow on Nantucket. Southeast Plymouth to Southern Bristol Counties of Massachusetts have the potential to see 1-2″ of snow..
..Model trends will continue to be monitored closely as the storm track has been a bit closer to the coast. This may result in the expansion of Winter Weather Advisories to other parts of Southeast New England. A more offshore storm track would result in less snowfall..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor this storm overnight into Midday Wednesday. Below is the NWS Taunton Winter Weather Advisory Statement, Hazardous Weather Outlook and Snowfall Map..
