Post Severe Weather Coordination Message #1 – Saturday 7/4/26 – Significant Severe Weather Event in Connecticut

Hello to all…

..Significant severe weather struck Connecticut from portions of Litchfield County Connecticut to Southern Hartford Connecticut through Southern Connecticut into extreme Southwest Rhode Island. Nearly 100,000 customers were without power in Connecticut at the height of the severe weather with approximately 75,000 without power at the time of this message. In addition, hail up to 3″ in diameter in portions of Bristol and Plainville, CT caused cracked and smashed windshields and home windows. Additional isolated severe thunderstorms occurred in Northeast Massachusetts. Any additional reports, pics, videos are appreciated..
