A storm system is looking like it will come close enough to Southern New England for accumulating snowfall and a plowable, moderate snowstorm for portions of Southern New England particularly along and south of the Mass Pike. The headlines depict the latest thinking. Key factors for this storm system include:

1.) The track of the storm system as a track further north and west means more snow for the region while a storm track further south and east means less snowfall for the region.
2.) Where any bands of heavier snow may setup including any ocean enhancement with Northeast to North-Northeast flow over Southeastern New England.
3.) Model trends have been toward more significant snowfall through this morning. Need to see if this trend holds, reverses, or brings even higher snow totals to parts of the region.

SKYWARN Self-Activation with periodic Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets will monitor for snowfall totals around the region starting with the Cape & Islands Weather Net at 600 AM Monday Morning. Another coordination message will be posted by 10 PM Sunday Evening.
