Post Severe Weather Coordination Message #1 – Saturday 8/8/26 Severe Weather Event

..Significant severe weather impacted portions of Southwest and South-Central Massachusetts late Saturday Afternoon/Early Evening with the Westfield/Springfield Metro area being particularly hard hit including direct structural damage to a couple of buildings. Amateur Radio and non-Amateur Radio SKYWARN Spotters were instrumental in providing reports in near real-time during this severe weather event including near real-time pictures and videos of storm damage. This event occurring less than 24 hours after a severe weather event that affected Central Connecticut and to a lesser extend South-Central Massachusetts..
..For the Saturday 8/8/26 and Friday evening 8/7/26 severe weather events, pictures and videos of wind damage, hail, flooding etc. can be sent as a reply to this email, via our Facebook/X/Bluesky feeds or the email address pics@nsradio.org with credit given to the spotter unless otherwise indicated. An updated post severe weather coordination message will be posted either by Sunday Evening or Monday Morning potentially with a WX1BOX Facebook Photo Album from the Saturday 8/8/26 severe weather event and possibly the Friday Evening 8/7/26 severe weather event.
