..Strong Thunderstorms with frequent lightning, heavy rainfall and urban/poor drainage/river/stream flash flood potential as the primary threat along with a secondary threat for Isolated Severe Thunderstorms with strong to damaging winds and hail are possible to likely today mostly across Western Massachusetts and Western Connecticut anytime from 2-10 PM Monday Afternoon and Evening though all areas should monitor..
..The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed much of Western Massachusetts and Northwest Connecticut in a marginal risk for severe weather for Monday Afternoon and Evening. The Weather Prediction Center (WPC) has placed much of Western Massachusetts and Western Connecticut in a marginal to slight risk of excessive rainfall for Monday Afternoon and Evening..
..A Flood Watch is in effect from Monday early afternoon through Monday Evening for Hartford County Connecticut, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties of Massachusetts for excessive rainfall causing potential flooding of river, stream, urban, poor drainage and low lying areas. Localized locations could see 2-4″ of rain with isolated higher amounts.
