..Coastal Storm to Impact the Region with strong to damaging winds, minor to moderate coastal flooding in East Coastal Massachusetts and heavy rainfall in Eastern New England with the possibility of precipitation ending as a brief period of light wet snow. Main Storm Impacts Saturday late afternoon through Sunday Morning..
..A High Wind Warning is now in effect for Eastern and Southern Plymouth Counties Massachusetts and Cape Cod and the Islands from 5 PM Saturday to 4 PM Sunday for sustained winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. These winds will cause isolated to scattered pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..
..A High Wind Watch remains in effect from Saturday Afternoon through Sunday Morning. In the watch area, sustained winds of 20-30 MPH are expected with wind gusts to at least 50 MPH with the potential for winds to gust to greater than 58 MPH and higher sustained winds but this is not yet certain and winds may fall just below this criteria. Regardless, isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages are possible in the High Wind Watch area..
..Strong winds will potentially affect portions of Western and Central New England on Sunday as the storm departs and the gradient tightens and cold air continues moves into the region..

A coastal storm will track southeast of New England but close enough to cause strong to damaging winds, minor to moderate coastal flooding in East Coastal Massachusetts and heavy rainfall in Eastern New England. The rain may end as a brief period of light wet snow but the real hazards from this storm system are the strong to damaging winds, minor to pockets of moderate coastal flooding and heavy rainfall. Main storm impacts are Saturday late afternoon through Sunday Morning. The headlines denote the current storm hazards.
