Storm Coordination Message #1 – Monday 1/12/15 Light Wintry Mix Potential
Hello to all..
..Another storm system will affect the region with a light wintry mix of precipitation over interior Southern New England..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 AM to 4 PM for Northern Connecticut, Hampden, Hampshire, Worcester, and Central Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts for a light mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain. Total snowfall of a Coating to 2 inches is likely with the 2″ amounts in the northern and western parts of the NWS Taunton Coverage area. Ice amounts of up to one-tenth of an inch is likely. It is noted that Franklin County Mass is expected to receive 1-3″ of snow and no icing but could see isolated amounts of snow of greater than 3″ which may prompt Winter Weather Advisories in future forecasts..
