Storm Coordination Message – Tuesday Evening 12/5/17-Early Wednesday 12/6/17 Strong Wind Potential

Hello to all…

..Strong Wind Gusts expected in portions of Southern New England this evening into the overnight hours over portions of Southern New England. Rain is also expected with a few heavier downpours that may cause urban and poor drainage flooding..
..A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 9 PM Tuesday Evening through 7 AM Wednesday Morning for all of Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts including Cape Cod and the Islands as well as the North Shore and Metro Boston area for sustained winds of 15-25 MPH with wind gusts to 40-50 MPH. These winds may cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and isolated power outages. A few areas may experience a few strong wind gusts to around 40 MPH overnight..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the storm system this evening into the overnight hours. This will be the only coordination message on this system unless a significant upgrade to the situation occurs.
