Wind Coordination Message #1 – Monday Afternoon 11/21/22 Through Tuesday Morning 11/22/22 Strong Wind Potential

Hello to all…

..Strong winds will develop later this afternoon and tonight over Cape Cod and the Islands and other parts of Southeast New England later this afternoon through early Tuesday Morning..
..A Wind Advisory is in effect from 3 PM Monday Afternoon through 5 AM Tuesday Morning for Cape Cod and the Islands for sustained winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Other areas outside of the Wind Advisory area in Southeast New England and coastal areas could see wind gusts up to 40 MPH with isolated higher gusts. These winds will cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and isolated power outages..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the strong wind potential for later this Monday Afternoon into Tuesday Morning. This will be the only coordination message on this wind event.
