Storm Coordination Message #1 – Tuesday 2/21/23-Thursday Evening 2/23/23 – Various Storms & Wintry Precipitation

..Light Snowfall expected in two areas – one area is in Southeast Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut overnight Monday Night into mid-Tuesday Morning. Snowfall amounts of a Coating to 1″ are expected currently though some high resolution models have hinted at higher amounts though that is not the most plausible scenario at this time. Will monitor closely for higher snowfall totals in this area particularly in the early to mid Tuesday Morning timeframe..
..A second round of light snow and wintry mix is possible across Western, North-Central and Northeast Massachusetts where a coating to 3″ of snow with isolated higher amounts are possible in the late Tuesday Afternoon to Tuesday Night timeframe..
..A widespread wintry mix/icing event is likely Wednesday Night into Thursday Night for much of Southern New England but especially north and west of the I-95 corridor. What the predominant form of precipitation occurs is unclear at this time but both the Thursday Morning and Evening commutes could be hazardous for our region..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor all three storm systems starring with the first two storm systems overnight tonight into mid-morning Tuesday and late Tuesday Afternoon through Tuesday Night. If time allows, another coordination message on the various storm systems will be posted by 11 AM Tuesday Morning.
