..Another intense storm which will largely be a heavy rainfall with some brief heavy snowfall in the hill towns of Western Massachusetts, river, stream, urban flooding, possible coastal flooding and damaging wind event on track to affect the region Tuesday Night into Wednesday..
..A Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire NWS Norton coverage area except for Cape Cod and the Islands for Tuesday Evening through Wednesday Afternoon due to heavy rainfall of 2-3″ with isolated higher amounts combined with snow melt can result in river, stream and urban flooding..
..A High Wind Warning is now in effect from 5 PM Tuesday Evening to 1 PM Wednesday Afternoon for South Coastal Massachusetts including Eastern Plymouth County Massachusetts and South Coastal Rhode Island for sustained winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 65 MPH and isolated higher gusts likely. These winds will cause scattered to numerous pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..
..A High Wind Watch remains in effect from Tuesday Evening through Wednesday Afternoon for North-Central Rhode Island, Essex, Southeast Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, North-Central Bristol and North-Central Plymouth Counties of Massachusetts for sustained winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. This High Wind Watch is also expanded to include Tolland and Windham Counties of Connecticut as well. These winds will cause scattered pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..
..A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 5 PM Tuesday Evening to 1 PM Wednesday Afternoon for the rest of the NWS Norton Coverage Area for sustained winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. These winds will cause isolated to scattered pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..
..A Coastal Flood Watch is now in effect from late Tuesday Night through Wednesday Morning for Southern Bristol County Massachusetts, Southeast Providence, Eastern Kent, Bristol, Newport and Washington Counties of Rhode Island for minor to moderate coastal flooding of shore roads at the time of high tide in these areas..
..A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 3 PM Tuesday to Midnight Tuesday Night for Western Franklin and Western Hampshire Counties of Massachusetts for 2-5″ of snow before a changeover to rain causing slippery travel..
