Storm Coordination Message #1 – Light Snow Potential for Southeast Coastal New England & Snow Squall Potential Across the Region Saturday 2/16/24

Hello to all…

..A light snowfall of a coating to 2″ expected along the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island including Cape Cod and the Islands with isolated higher amounts on Nantucket. This snowfall occurs Saturday Morning possibly into the early Afternoon. After this occurs, there is some potential for snow squalls in Southern New England mid-afternoon to evening from west to east. If that potential becomes more certain, another coordination message will be issued Saturday Morning on that potential..
..SKYWARN Self-Activation will monitor the light snow potential Saturday Morning and any snow squall potential across Southern New England Saturday Afternoon and Evening. Below is the NWS Boston/Norton Area Forecast Discussion and Snowall Map..
