..Active Weather Pattern Continues through the weekend with strong wind gusts Friday and a moderate to significant winter storm for Saturday Night into Sunday Morning..
..A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 4 AM to 4 PM Friday for Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Worcester and Northern Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts for sustained winds of 15-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Areas outside of the advisory could see wind gusts of up to 40-45 MPH possible with isolated higher gusts. These winds could cause isolated pockets of tree and wire damage and power outages..
..A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect from Saturday Evening through late Sunday Morning for the entire NWS Norton Coverage Area except for Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket Islands for 6-9″ of snow. The islands could see a wintry mix which will hold down snowfall amounts..

An active weather pattern continues for Southern New England. The headlines depict the current thinking for strong wind gust potential for Friday and the winter storm potential for Saturday Night into Sunday. Key factors for the winter storm for Saturday Night to Sunday includes:
1.) The current track of the winter storm would keep all areas snow except for the islands and possibly the immediate south coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
2.) Snowfall totals will be widespread plowable/shovelable snowfall based on the current storm track
3.) Trends on storm intensity and model track will be monitored for any forecast changes as we are still approximately 48-60 hours from the storm event

SKYWARN Self-Activation with Amateur Radio Call-Up Nets are likely for the Saturday Night to Sunday Morning Winter Storm with most of the call-up nets likely centered around Sunday Morning depending on a late start time in the snow Saturday Night.
